The GCF(Greatest Common Factor) of 4 and 12 is 4,so divide both of them by 4. 4÷4=1,12÷4=3,change those numbers into their quotients. If the numerator of the first fraction and the denominator of the second fraction have a GCF(Greatest Common Factor),do the same thing. GCF(Greatest Common Factor) of 3 and 9 is 3,3÷3=1,9÷3=3,making the fractions 1/1 × 3/3=3/3 or 3. Just don't do it if the conditions are not there.

    1) first basic operation is addition. Firstly if the denominator are the same, you have to simply add the numerators and leave the denominator unchanged. If it is not, you have to find the lowest number that both denominators can be divided.
    2) second one is the subtraction. Here you have to do the same thing as with addition, but subract the numerators.

    She also made an example with summing two fractions, such as 3 over 5 add with one fourth. Here, first of all, you have to find lowest number that five and four can go into and that number is 20. So, she gonna make both the denominators 20. Then, she divide 20 by the current working fraction's denominator and get a factor for numerator, then she multiply this factor by the current fraction's numerator and bring it into current working fraction as a numerator. Also make this operation with another addend. Then, when the fractions have the same denominator, add them and make an answer. (do the same thing with subraction)

    3) next basic operations is multiplying. You have to multiply the numerator with the numerator, and the denominator with the denominator. Working with previously fractions, you have to multiply 3 by 1 and 5 by 4 and bring the results to new fraction: 3/20.
    4) when I divide two fractions, I have to keep in mind first fractions, change the division sign into a multiplication sign and change my second fraction into its reciprocal (flipped the fraction). So, working with the above fractions as an example, you have to make next expression: 1/3 * 4/5

    To multiply two fractions we have to multiply numerator by numerator and denominator by denominator.
    To divide fraction by fraction we have to write product of the first numerator and the second denominator as a numerator and product of the first denominator and the second numerator as a denominator.

    at the beginning we learnt about the construction of the fractions and different kinds of them. now we know how to add, to subtract, to multiply and the divide the fractions.
    in addition and subtraction there is not very difficult. at first, we look at the denominator. if the denominators of the given two fractions are the same, we just take one of numerator and add or subtract it to the other. this number we write in the numerator of the new fraction, and the denominator of the new fraction is the same
